Childhood Immunization Schedule

The first Hep B is usually given at birth.

The Varicella vaccine is for Chicken Pox.

Tetanus boosters should be administered approximately every 10 years, after the primary series is completed.

The Influenza Vaccine is recommended for children 6 months or older, particularly those with chronic diseases such as Asthma, Cardiac Disease or Diabetes.

Hepatitis A is optional in the local school system and is a series of 2 vaccines given over 6 months.

Meningioccocal vaccine is recommended for high school students as well as college students.

Gardasil is for women for protection agains Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). It is a series of 3 vaccines spread out 1 month and 6 months from the initial vaccine.
