Practice Philosophy:
I chose to become a family practice nurse practitioner because I feel that it is an environment where I can better get to know my patients and their individual needs. I enjoy conversing with patients and making them feel comfortable in the health care setting. I feel that it is important for patients to take ownership and have a good understanding of not only their health but of the options available to them. I believe that each patient is individual and appreciate that at Hinman Family Practice, patients are not a number, but rather cared for as if they were family. Through a mix of traditional and alternative medicine recommendations, I strive to educate and empower my patients to feel in control of their health, while feeling like they have a group of providers supporting them.
